Alina began as a property investment company in 2006, specialising in investing in and managing local retail shopping assets. In 2008 the company achieved a listing on the London Stock Exchange as The Local Shopping REIT plc and joined the UK REIT tax regime.

In 2013 the Company decided to sell down its property portfolio and return cash to shareholders. This culminated in a share buy-back programme in 2019. In 2020 the Company adopted a new forward-looking investment strategy and the Company's name was changed to Alina Holdings PLC.

Alina, which continues to be listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange, now looks forward to delivering value to its shareholders through the delivery of the ambitious new strategy described on the Investment Objective page.
